From PN to OH... visits with family and friends

Day 15 -
Friday, Sept 6 – We spent the day in Blandon, PA with Angie and Jon.

Angie and John both had to work, but John works from their home so we saw him throughout the day. I worked on this blog and the photos most of the day and Joe read a lot. We had a delicious dinner of barbecue ribs, corn on the cob and rolls. We ate outside and enjoyed the crisp weather. We moved inside and continued to visit and watch a little TV, all the while being entertained by their two beautiful Huskies.

Day 16 -
Saturday, Sept 7 – drive to Beavercreek, Ohio to visit the Craigs

We spent some time with Angie and John in the morning and then we were on the road again.

We stopped for lunch in a cute little diner in Somerset, PA called Summit Diner. About 30 miles n/e from Somerset is where Flight 93 crashed on 9-11-01. There is a memorial there, but we didn't have time to visit it.

We arrived in Beavercreek in the afternoon and were greeted by Paul and Jake, a friend that lives with them. This was the weekend of the Beavercreek Popcorn Festival, so Jill and the kids were there doing face painting in their church's booth. Paul worked there earlier in the day. When Jill came home we left to have dinner at Jeet Indian Restaurant. The food was delicious! It was so fun. We shared our food and had great conversation!

When we got back to the house, Audrey, Jenny, Matt and his girlfriend Rebecca were all there. They are all grown up. We stayed up late talking.

Day 17 –
Sunday, Sept 8 – A day with the Craig Family

In the morning everyone in the house went to church (Grace Covenant Church) at different times depending on their duties. We went later with Jill. We met lots of very nice people! We got to see and sit next to Shannon at church with her kids. They are so cute and so well behaved. It was so great to hear Jenny sing and Paul preach.

After church, I helped Jill make lunch and we all ate together, including Shannon and her kids,Timmy and Kaylene.

Then we were off to the Popcorn Festival. We spent some time at their church’s booth and watched the girls paint kids faces for free.

Fun time at the park

We walked down the streets full of vendors and then to an old car show. It was pretty hot and humid, but fun to be there with the Craigs. We were just home for a short while and then it was time for the evening church service. Again, we met so many kind people and saw a lot of their church building.
They gave me about 20 booklets for Biblical Counseling. Most of them were from CCEF. I am so grateful for that. The booklets are good to give to or loan out to people who need help with different issues. The gospel is the answer!
Then we all drove over to Nick and Shannon’s beautiful home. It was so nice to finally meet Nick! Their house was full of people and voices! We added to the fun by eating Root Beer Floats.
The Craig clan ...plus!
